Fuck Baby Steps

What is this constant need to take breaks or to ease into things? You know something is bad for you and causing you damage, then stop. If you know something is good for you, then start. Why take things easy? Why not make the decision right now?

When I quit having sex, do you think I eased into it? Do you think I took it halfheartedly? No. I saw a change that needed to take place and I made that change. It is a necessary change that was made. Was it hard? Absolutely, but the results are insane and come so much faster when you put your entire heart and soul into a decision. Could I have had sex already? Sure, and maybe she was the love of my life. Theoretically, that is possible. But, I love myself more now then I ever have in my entire life. I feel accomplished with my goals and where I am going.

‘I recently had to rearrange what was important because I had too much on my plate. I had multiple goals this year that I will list below as well as sub goals:

  1. Touch my toes
    • Go to yoga 5 times a week
  2. Reach 250 lbs healthily and in good shape
    • Workout 5 times a week
    • Meal prep for 6 days worth of food a week
  3. Become more confident with being able to stand up for myself and others
    • Take self defense classes twice a week
  4. Write Book
    • Write 200 words a day for book
  5. Start vlog and podcast
    • Do both twice a week
  6. Start dating app
    • Work on for 4 hours a week
  7. Become financially stable
    • Pay $1400 a month towards loans
    • Save 20% of income
    • Invest 10% of income
    • Tithe 10% of income
  8. Go all year without sex or dating
    • Blog twice a week

These are the real goals that I set for myself going into 2019. Obviously, very ambitious. I got sick in the beginning of the year so I already felt that I was starting off behind schedule, which then led to me wanting to everything at once and overlap and make it all fit. I did do this and I was able to accomplish a lot. However, I was also able to figure out what I really wanted and what was truly important to me and to allocate time for what actually matters to me. My new list looks something like this

  1. Touch my toes
    • Go to yoga 4 times a week
  2. Reach 250 lbs healthily and in good shape
    • Workout 5 times a week
    • Meal prep for 6 days worth of food a week
  3. Become more confident with being able to stand up for myself and others
    • Take self defense classes twice a week
  4. Write Book
    • Write 400 words a day for book
  5. Start vlog and podcast
    • Start when book draft is finished.
  6. Start dating app
    • Do this after book is finished
  7. Become financially stable
    • Pay $1000 a month towards loans
    • Save 20% of income
    • Invest 10% of income
    • Tithe 10% of income
    • Set aside time and funds to explore and have fun with friends/by myself
  8. Go all year without sex or dating
    • Blog at least once a week
  9. Make sleep a priority

These slight changes have made the world of difference as well as caused a new passion for my goals. There is no more “Ugh, now I need to do this.” Now it is, “I cannot wait to do this!” It is peaceful and I am still proud of myself. Getting priorities straight is something that has always been difficult for me, but it is amazing to have finally look at all I will accomplish this year and smile.

March is here, 9 months to go.
